To arrive at the most suitable design solution for a temple with best fit to canonical texts, the entire process is divided in 2 stages.
Stage 1 — KEY PARAMETERS
Stage 2 — TEMPLE DESIGN

Stage 1 - Finding answers of 'KEY PARAMETERS'
Stage 1 helps find answers of all four following Key Parameters for initiating the Temple Design Process:

2.Orientation of the new temple
नए मंदिर की संभावित लेआउट योजना
3.Tentative layout plan for the new temple (plan typologies)

4.Indicative range for the size of the Sanctum Sanctorum (Garbhagriha)
Having information on all four key parameters are important for furthering the design process. Some of this information may already be available, which will become the bases for finding rest of the information. One of the four relevant scenarios mentioned below must be selected. Each scenario guides you through a series of 7–10 flashcards tailored specifically to the selected scenario for determining the answers of the key parameters one-by-one.

Stage 2 - Design of 'NEW TEMPLE BUILDING'
In the second part of the journey, the insights gained from the previous step assist further. A new set of flashcards is introduced, which remain consistent regardless of the initially selected scenario. These cards help establish a connection between the principal deity (point A) and the temple's orientation (point B) using astrology as a backdrop. This connection extends deeper, linking the principal deity to the dimensional system of various temple components, also referencing astrological data. The previously selected tentative layout plan (point C) and the indicative size range of the Sanctum Sanctorum (point D) are instrumental in this phase.
